About House of 'Paign & Always A Brave

Nobody captivated the TBT universe quite like House of ‘Paign last summer. Despite entering the bubble ranked 16th of 24 teams, the Illinois alumni went on a run that will live in tournament lore forever. After dismantling War Tampa in a first round game, they shocked the nation by downing Big 10 rival and defending champions Carmen’s Crew. One of the breakout stars of TBT 2020 was Andres Feliz, who’s hustle and infectious smile earned him admiration from TBT fans around the globe. He joined a host of other Illini greats, including Malcolm Hill, Leron Black, Michael Finke, and Nnanna Egwu.

With that being said, it was TBT grad transfer Mike Daum who made perhaps the biggest splash of all. The Dauminator -- a South Dakota State alum and the seventh leading scorer in NCAA history -- was simply dominant, putting up a team-high 18.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. He was so good that Illinois fans were calling for him to earn an honorary degree.

They’ll be joined by Always A Brave, the Bradley alumni team who made a run to the TBT 2016 Semifinals. Despite earning a 9-seed that summer, Always A Brave defeated TBT mainstay Jackson TN UnderDawgs, the Mike Bibby and Jason Williams-led Pedro’s Posse, and TBT 2020 champions Golden Eagles. With a couple of younger legs expected to join the team this year, look for them to get right back to their winning ways.
